SKI TOUR Liebener Spitze 3400m
Length:
1 day
Difficulty:
Participants
1-4 Persons
Long, fantastic high tour on a classic in the Gurgler Kamm. The upper section with the small Hängeferner on the right side is particularly beautiful, as is the racy final ascent over a very steep intermediate slope, where you change to the right side arm of the Gaisbergferner. Fantastic panoramic views from the exposed border summit to the other numerous three-thousand-metre peaks in the Ötztal Alps.
TIP:
If we use both sections of the Hohe Mut Bahn, we save a good 450m of ascent and start the day with a 200m descent.
TIP 2:
The Liebener Spitze (west peak) can also be climbed through the Rotmoostal and via the Rotmoosferner, although there you have to ascend quite steeply on foot at the end. The transition over the narrow firn edge to the main summit (east summit) is a pleasure for sure-footed ski tourers on the rope of the mountain guide. It is a great traverse. (For the traverse max. 2 TN per mountain guide).
Walking time:
Obergurgl - summit: approx. 5h
Hohe Mut mountain station - summit: approx. 3.5h - 4h
Altitude difference:
